Brendan is currently an IBDP and IGCSE Math teacher and has extensive experience teaching mathematics in an enquiry focussed IBMYP classroom too. He is an IB Examiner and an IB Educator in the Asia/Pacific region. He has been actively using ICT in his mathematics classrooms since 2002. In New Zealand he was a Numeracy Facilitator and part of the Casio ClassPad CAS pilot project. It is the underlying pedagogy implied in these programmes that shaped Brendan’s teaching and learning philosophy. He believes that creating a conceptually rich and problem-based classroom learning environment is essential. He seeks to provide deep learning opportunities and enhance learning skills for his students. GeoGebra has been an integral part of the collection of technologies (COT) that he uses to enrich and enhance the learning environment for his students.
